Suhas Lalinakere Yathiraj, an NIT Surathkal graduate, defied conventional paths by cracking UPSC in 2007 and becoming an IAS officer. While serving as a District Magistrate, he also pursued his passion for para-badminton from 2015 onward. His achievements speak volumes—Silver Medals at both the Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Paralympics, a Gold at the 2022 Asian Para Games, and a World Championship Gold in 2024. Honored with the Arjuna Award and Yash Bharti, Suhas shared powerful life lessons at TEDxIITJodhpur: embrace failure, focus on effort over outcome, and always persevere with humility.
