FORMER NATIONAL WORKERS MARK 78TH NAGA INDEPENDENCE DAY

On August 14, 2024, former national workers from Longkhum, Mangmetong, Alichen, and Satsü gathered at Senden Reju in Mangmetong, Mokokchung District, to celebrate the 78th Naga Independence Day. Major General (Retd.) Ramkhating, Steering Executive Member of NSCN/GPRN, emphasized the day's significance for affirming Naga solidarity and identity. He warned that neglecting the plebiscite could result in loss of identity and drew parallels between the NNC and NSCN. Ramkhating reaffirmed NSCN's refusal to accept the Indian Constitution and expressed concern over misrepresentations of the Naga nation. Other speakers, including Bangeryabang Longkhum, Wati Jamir, Wapangmeren Alichen, and the Satsü Council Chairman, paid tribute to those who sacrificed for the Naga cause.
