Herath : The Kashmiri Shivratri Celebration

The Kashmiri Pandits have been celebrating the festival of Herath (also known as Shivratri ) with utmost zeal and devotion for centuries now. And the age-old traditions with its elaborate rituals covering three-fourth of the dark half of the lunar month of Phalguna (Feb-March) are followed even today, modified, of course, to suit the changing times and circumstances.
This video is a nostalgic take on all my childhood memories of Herath and also some cool fun facts about the culture.
