Born and raised right here in Macon, Georgia, Nikki grew up in a big, loving family that taught us all the importance of serving our community. From her school days in Bibb County to earning her degrees at Tennessee State University and Mercer University, she always had a huge heart for helping others.
In 1999, she made absolute history by becoming the very first African American woman elected to the Georgia General Assembly from Middle Georgia! But she didn't stop there—she broke records, shook things up as a leader, and was even named Legislator of the Year.
