NEW EPISODE 🎙️ The Fuel Protests | Trump & Iran | The Manosphere

The fuel protests in Ireland revealed something much deeper than frustration at the pumps. They exposed a real divide between the realities facing rural Ireland and how those realities are understood by sections of the political or dismissed class and urban Ireland. Some of the commentary around the protests said a lot. And between Micheál Martin and Leo Varadkar, a current and former Taoiseach, there was a striking lack of restraint in how they spoke about people who feel under pressure: farmers, hauliers, workers, families, and communities who rely on fuel because they do not have the same alternatives others take for granted.

"With great power comes great responsibility." That includes current and former Taoiseach.

In the latest episode of The Forgotten Podcast, Brendan and Kieran talk about the fuel protests, the fallout that followed, and the government's handling of it. We also look at the wider ripples from around the world that are increasingly affecting Ireland, and also our thoughts on Louis Theroux's latest documentary "The Manosphere".
As always, it's a Donegal perspective on the bigger picture, with a good whinge thrown in for good measure.
