Why Dale's voice is so different in the King of the Hill revival

The other day I made a video saying I really liked the king of the hill revival and I didn’t mind the new voice actors. I said Khan's voice was the most distracting, and I got tons of comments saying Dale’s new voice actor was the most distracting. What you might not know is that Dale was voiced by his original voice actor Johnny Hardwick. At least for the first 7 episodes or so. Hardwick passed away at 64 years old, before he could record lines for the rest of the episodes. He was allegedly ill, there isn’t much information on it but apparently he was in bad shape. He was then replaced by former Khan and Cotton Hill voice actor Toby huss- to finish out the season, and he sounds more like how you would expect Dale to sound. I know Hardwick’s voice was different but Dale is a chronic smoker. So it almost makes more sense that his voice would be different. Anyway I know people are annoyed, but I’m glad Hardwick got to voice Dale one last time.
