How to Delete AWS Snapshots Automatically with Lambda

EBS snapshots are useful for backups, but if they’re not managed properly they can quietly accumulate and increase your AWS storage costs over time.

In this short demo I show how to automate snapshot cleanup using AWS Lambda, allowing outdated EBS snapshots to be deleted automatically instead of relying on manual checks in the AWS console.

Automating tasks like this is a common practice in real AWS environments to keep infrastructure clean, reduce manual maintenance, and control cloud costs.
