McKim Mead & White And the Classical Ideal

Samuel G. White is a principal of Platt Byard Dovell White Architects. He is the co-author with Elizabeth White of Stanford White Architect, The Houses of McKim, Mead & White and McKim, Mead & White: The Masterworks, which documents the firm's institutional and commercial designs. Mr. White, the great-grandson of Stanford White, is a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects, an Academician of the National Academy of Design, and adjunct assistant professor of Fine Arts at New York University.
