But this specific situation felt right for them, and their characters suited the quick conclusion of their most recent challenge.

Station 19's fifth episode of Season 7 is titled "Choosing Parenthood."
Maya valued that she didn't even know what family was until Carina, thus it made sense that she would bring this up given her current emotional, physical, and mental states.
She is just as committed to expanding their family as Carina is. Seeing how much Maya values all of this, how she's embracing the process of beginning the family she's always desired, and how she's understanding that she can have it without making mistakes, is just incredible.
