John Deere LA105 - Briggs & Stratton Engine Carburetor Replacement

OEM Carb float stuck open flooding the engine. The engine started rough after having run fine the previous week. It was missing and producing black smoke. It quit after about 2 minutes. As I was troubleshooting there was gas coming out of the exhaust and blowing back into the air intake and air filter.

Carb replacement seemed like an easier option than trying to rebuild the float system.

This kit cost under $25 compared to a dealer price of over $100 where I live. Because the kit is compatible with several models, I didn't use all the parts. I did install the fuel cut off valve which I'll use going forward to keep from gumming up the carburetor.
