Each grinder has its pros and cons. We will try to make it simple and basic by mentioning its advantages and disadvantages.

👍 PROS:
.
🔹️It offers great filter coffee qualtiy considering its price tag.
.
🔹️It is easy to grip and grind with (slim body).
.
🔹️It has good grinding speed:
(15g Filter in 35-45 seconds)
(18g Espresso in 1:00 to 1:25  minutes)
.
🔹️Kingrinder has great customer service
.
🔹️Upper grinding adjustment mechanism, easy to change between filter and espresso.
.
🔹️It was designed with the ability to be used with a cordless screw-driver. Kingridner added larger bearings and central shaft (axle) in order to handle the higher RPM.

🔹️Taste wise:
Filter:
It  has an identical burr-set geometry that the 1Zpresso K series and the Comandante C40 uses. This type of burrs gives better results in filter coffee (more consistency and less fines). It gives clean, crisp, and bright filter coffee with the ability to go finner or coarser and still get great results.
.
However, after detailed comparison, we found that the Comandante and the 1Zpresso K-series to have a slighty better results as both of these grinders have inner wall design that covers the sharp edges of the top burr (Which probably results in more consistency and slightly less fines).
.
That being said, you will be able to get delicoius filter brews with the Kingrinder K6/K5.

Espresso:
.
It gives delicious espresso shots,even with light roasted beans, it was reasonable to grind and enjoyable to drink.
.
🔹️It has micro adjustment mechanism (16 microns per click). Which gives on average a difference of (3 to 7 seconds) per click in espresso.

👎 Cons:
.
.
.
🔸️ While the assembly proccess has an advantage of being awlays alligned when put back together (no need to put it on zero during re-assembly), it is quite difficult to get used to it. The slim metal clip is very hard to keep good hold between the fingers and hook it in its place. You can use an eyebrow twisers to assist you in that process.
.
🔸️Although it comes with an extra clip (the one used in the assembly proccess), it is very easy to loose and you will end up customizing one. It should be simplier and less complicated proccess.
.
🔸️It does generate heat if you grind for more than two shots at a time using the cordless screwdriver, which can result in less enjoyable espresso shots (Muddy taste and less clarity)

To be 100% fair, at its price tag, we can not find any other disadvantages that are reasonable to be mentioned.
.
Kingrinder went with the traditional simple design of hand grinders to maintain lower production costs and offer a budget friendly pricing.
.
Many people in the coffee community did  mention the design similarities of both 1Zpresso and Kingridner. 
.
That being said, each grinder has its own features and with both 1Zpresso and Kingrinder, you are literally getting what you are paying for ( You need to include the accessories and features in mind) 💯
.
Overall, we are always happy to recommend the K5/K6 to friends who are on a tight budget and do not mind getting the simplest design as long as it offers great quality in both filter and espresso.
Considering the easy grip in espresso grinding, it is probably the cheapest and most versitile hand grinder for both brewing methods. ☕

That being said, our favourate hand grinder for FILTER coffee is still the 1Zpresso K-series, we just love everything about it. (Although it needs much more effort to grind for espresso)

Kindly note (Regarding the cordless screw driver method) :

kingrinder team informed us that after one year of extensive use with the cordless screwdriver, the grinder was still functioning great, and without any signs of wearing or failure.

We do not recommend using the electric screwdriver for filter brews, as it does produce more fines with its higher RPM.
.
