पाकिस्तान के पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री शाहिद अब्बासी तक कह चुके हैं कि बलूचिस्तान अब पाकिस्तान के नियंत्रण में नहीं है। बलूच नेता अख्तर मेंगल ने भी सेना को पूर्वी पाकिस्तान की याद दिला दी है।

दूसरी ओर, पाकिस्तानी सेनाध्यक्ष असीम मुनीर का उग्र बयान सामने आया है — “हम वो करेंगे जो 10 नस्लें याद रखेंगी।” लेकिन हकीकत यह है कि बलूचिस्तान की जनता अब डरने को तैयार नहीं।

अगर भारत-पाक युद्ध होता है, तो बलूचिस्तान की आज़ादी को नई रफ्तार मिल सकती है। युद्ध के समय पाक सेना का ध्यान पूर्वी सीमा यानी भारत की ओर रहेगा, और इसी दौरान बलूच विद्रोही पश्चिम में बड़े ऑपरेशन कर सकते हैं — ग्वादर पोर्ट, CPEC प्रोजेक्ट और सैन्य ठिकाने इनके निशाने पर हो सकते हैं।

बलूचिस्तान, जो पाकिस्तान का सबसे बड़ा लेकिन सबसे पिछड़ा क्षेत्र है, प्राकृतिक संसाधनों से भरपूर है — सोना, तांबा, तेल, गैस और खनिज। इसके बावजूद यहां की जनता को न गैस मिलती है, न विकास। चीन द्वारा चलाए जा रहे CPEC प्रोजेक्ट में भी बलूच जनता को सिर्फ नुकसान और शोषण मिला है।

अंतरराष्ट्रीय मंचों पर बलूच नेता डॉ. माहरंग बलोच और मानवाधिकार संगठन बलूचिस्तान में हो रहे अत्याचारों को उजागर कर रहे हैं। अफगानिस्तान और ईरान से सटी सीमा के कारण बलूचों को सीमापार से भी समर्थन मिलता है।

Once again, Balochistan is burning — bombings, gunfire, and arson attacks on government buildings are on the rise. The Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) has intensified its rebellion and attacks against the Pakistani military. Rebels have taken control of the Quetta-Karachi Highway, set government buildings on fire, and are now routinely stopping and searching civilian vehicles.

Even former Pakistani Prime Minister Shahid Abbasi has admitted that Balochistan is no longer under Pakistan's control. Meanwhile, Baloch leader Akhtar Mengal has warned the military, reminding them of the fall of East Pakistan.

On the other hand, Pakistani Army Chief Asim Munir has issued a fiery statement — “We will do something that will be remembered for ten generations.” But the reality is, the people of Balochistan are no longer afraid.

If an India-Pakistan war were to break out, it could give fresh momentum to Balochistan’s freedom struggle. During the conflict, Pakistan’s military will be focused on the eastern front — towards India — giving Baloch rebel groups a strategic opportunity to launch major offensives in the west. Targets could include military bases, administrative centers, the Gwadar Port, and the CPEC project.

Balochistan, despite being Pakistan’s largest region, is also its most underdeveloped — even though it’s rich in natural resources like gold, copper, oil, gas, and minerals. Yet, the local population receives no benefits — no gas, no development. The China-led CPEC project has only brought exploitation and suffering to the Baloch people.

On international platforms, leaders like Dr. Mahrang Baloch and various human rights organizations are actively highlighting the atrocities being committed in Balochistan. With borders shared with Afghanistan and Iran, Baloch groups also receive support from across the frontier.
