Duomo di Milano, also known as the Milan Cathedral, is famous for being the third largest cathedral in the world, and the second largest cathedral in Europe. Additionally, it houses thousands of important pieces of art. Dedicated to the Nativity of St. Mary, it is the seat of the Archbishop of Milan.

The view from the rooftop is amazing. Unfortunately right now there is work being done as a restoration. But is definitely worth a visit. You can either walk the stairs both ways or there is an elevator that takes you up but you still need to descend by the stairs.

The best time of the day to visit the Duomo is around 9 or 10 AM in the morning on a weekday. A. The Duomo Milan Cathedral and Archaeological Area are open between 9 AM and 6 PM from Monday to Sunday. The rooftop area is open from 9 AM to 7 PM between Monday and Thursday and 9 AM to 8 PM between Friday and Sunday.
