This Movie Made Me A Vegan-OKJA(netflix) & What It Teaches About Animal Rights & Food Industry
Okja directed by Bong Jo Hoon-my fav has had a major impact on how I consume food nowadays,this film has taught me so much about veganism,capitalism,activism and animal rights,consumerism.I haven't had meat since last 8 months or any other animal product.We artificially inseminate cows and take their babies from them,steal their milk-this is not right.My favourite actor Joaquin Phoenix mentioned this in his Oscar best actor acceptance speech and after hearing that I researched this topic in great detail.I watched a lot of documentaries about McDonalds chicken farm and the inhumane conditions in which the chickens are kept.Why only McDonalds, in our country as well in the state of Karnataka 600 chickens were buried alive on march 11 2020-what was their fault-only that people were not consuming them.Just because animals cant speak it doesn't mean they don't feel pain or deserve basic behavior that should be given to any living being.One more good thing about being a vegan or vegetarian is that it decreases green house emissions solving global warming and it is good for environment also.So please guys try being vegan or vegetarian if you can.
