Inspect Your Work
Following an endoscopic TLIF I feel it is very important to inspect your work. In this particular case I use the Joimax endoscopy system to perform an extraforaminal endoscopic discectomy followed by an endoscopic TLIF using a Flarehawk 7 expandable cage for a failed fusion presenting as a herniated disc. Endoscopically, I am able to confirm that there has been no extravasation of disc material. I was able to remove some residual disc material and confirm that the traversing root was free from compression. Lastly, I was able to control the small amount of epidural venous bleeding and identify and remove a small amount of residual disc material that was tucked underneath the very distal portion of the exiting root.
