Height and Kibbe Image ID

Height is important in Kibbe's style system because it is a yang attribute that significantly affects a woman's yin and yang balance. Tall women basically have 3 possible image IDs (Dramatic, Soft Dramatic, Flamboyant Natural), and only short women can belong to the 3 yin image IDs (Romantic, Theatrical Romantic, Soft Gamine).

In this video, I talk about whether these height rules are too reductive, and I conclude that while the guidelines may seem reductive, in the end the "reductiveness" of the approach is what makes it useful. So we kind of have to accept the fact that for tall women, there are three image IDs because there are only three options for the way that your body interacts with clothes (either long and narrow Yang D, or long, narrow Yang with Yin flesh SD, or Yang skeleton with some width and a strong frame FN). Likewise, it make sense that only women with a very short and small frame can be the Yin types. I also talk about how you can proceed if you find that the Image ID you prefer is not "available" to you at your height.
