Installation of cup hinges using BlueJig hinge drilling templates

This video shows how to assemble a hinged door to a cabinet using the BlueJig hinge hole marking template. This template allows for quick and precise marking of drilling positions - both on assembled and yet unassembled cabinets, and also when retrofitting doors.

First mark the hinge position on the door: Put BlueJig hinge to the edge of the door at required heights, then mark the centre of the cup holes. Drill the main 35 mm cup hole, but be careful not to drill through. Drilling the two 10 mm holes for Sensys, Intermat or SlideOn press-in hinges is optional. You may also choose screw-in hinges for this process, using the marks for precise screwing positions.
After preparing the door, transfer the hinge positions to the door. Regard the overlay of the door to cabinet at the upper and lower door, then mark the System 32 holes for installation of mounting plates. DrillJig hinge allows for marking positions for overlaid and inset doors, as well as for Hettich Direct mounting plates with offset screws for assembly in middle wall applications.
After mounting the hinges and mounting plates, you are set to install the door to the cabinet.

Using the BlueJig hinge template, the C measurement / distance of the 35 mm hinge cup to the doors edge is fixed to 4.5 mm! Choose the correct mouning plate distance to meet the required sideway door overlay.
