Bernadette - Cats "The Jellicle Ball" for accordion

"Cats" is a musical composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber and first premiered at the New London Theatre in 1981. It was based on the 1939 poetry collection "Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats" by T.S. Eliot. "Cats" is set during the night of the "Jellicle Ball" The "Jellicle Ball" is an annual celebration which as gathered all the members of the Jellicle cats together on this night. The "Jellicle Ball" is an instrumental interlude of unbroken dance and a musical gem. This is the climactic dance number. I can still remember how excited I was when my godparents took my cousins, my parents, and me to see "Cats" in Sydney. I was about 8 years old and I fell in love with the music. My cousins and I read T.S. Eliot's book "Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats" and I came home and played what I could recall of "Memory" on my godmother's piano to the surprise of everyone. Now I have the joy of introducing my own daughter to the irresistible music. This is one of my favorite songs and I decided to arrange "The Jellicle Ball" for accordion. I hope you enjoy the results.
