All problEMAS are started (proceeded) by men (masculine article 'el')

!This only works for words that originate from the Greek language! So there are exceptions to this exception. Here are some of the words that follow this exception:
el problema: problem
el teorema: theorem
el tema: theme, subject
el dilema: dilemma
el drama: drama
el idioma: language
el poema: poem
el programa: program

This is not meant to offend anyone! I am obviously aware that not ALL problems are started by men. This is just a trick that might help you remember that Problema is masculine!
