Biochemistry is pretty scary because it's the science of life, and life is terrifying so you have to find a good lab partner, someone who passes through your protective membrane even though you're selectively permeable
Humans are already warm-blooded but you need someone who gets you hot, as long as you don't forget safety gloves for experimenting.
Seen throughout the animal kingdom but most notably in homo sapiens, mammals excrete specific types of hormones in order to attract a mate. These chemicals are called "pheromones", and the better the scent of subject a to subject b, the more likely they are to reproduce successfully.
