Spa Cycles Wayfarer Review

I bought this Wayfarer cycle from Spa ycles in Harrogate in January 2019 as an ex demo bike. It was spotless and I got a good discount on it. I used the cycle for a tour around Arran and a tour from Oban to Campbeltown both of which you can watch on this channel. I also used it for day rides and training rides all year long. Its a traditional steel bike thats really comfortable. The Shimano gears are good and so are the Spyre Mechanical disc brakes. It came with a Tubus rear rack and there are also mounts on the front forks for lowrider panniers. I added the third bottle cage to take a tool holder as I like to carry plenty of water on my tours.

The cycle comes as standard with 32mm tyres but I asked for them to be changed to 38mm Schwalbe Marathons as the roads I ride on here in Yorkshire and Scotland can be pretty rough. I also fitted my own saddle from Bioflex Ozone comfort saddle which I find really nice to sit on. I have an Ortleib mount on the handlebars so I can attach a handlebar bag for carrying my camera gear on my tours. I also fitted a Quadlock mount as I have a case for my phone which I use for navigation.
