HOW TO PROFESSIONALLY TINT EYEBROWS AT HOME

SO SORRY MY CAMERA KEPT GOING OUT OF FOCUS

Hi darlings, when I was at beauty college I really struggled with tinting eyebrows because they didn't teach us properly...I was taught to use vaseline outside the eyebrows so it doesn't stain the skin where it shouldn't. This is a nice tip but if you get any vaseline on brow hairs - they won't dye. I was taught to tint eyebrows against the hair growth to get the tint to the root on the hair but this was so messy and I was not taught that I could use a cotton bud to clean up the sides. Apparently there was no need to clean up around the brows because the vaseline was there to help. I messed up so many people's eyebrows but after 3 years of being a beauty therapist, this is how I personally do them now without making mistakes!

I personally don't use vaseline anymore as there is no need because I clean up the sides and make it look tidy.

For my clients with very light blond hair, I measure the eyebrows and draw an outline with white eyeliner as a guide.

You can also create an ombre brow by adding the tint from the middle of the brow to the tail first - leave it for a little bit longer before adding the tint to the rest of the brow at the front. This will have an ombre effect because the tint on the tail will be darker as you leave it on longer than the front of the brow. Hope that makes sense!

If you want to dye your eyebrows black, please be careful as this can go dark very quickly. You can leave it on from 1 minute to maximum 10 minutes and this all depends on your skin tone.

Wax/thread/tweeze your eyebrows after tinting (or 48 hours before tinting)
