Sir Michael Somare Appreciates Morobean Leaders' Roles towards Independence

It's that time of the year when the black, red, and yellow colors dominate the streets and shops, as we approach the country's Independence Day.

While mini celebrations are hosted prior to the big day, not everyone gets to share pre independence celebrations with one of the country's founding fathers, and first Prime Minister Grand Chief, Sir Michael Somare.

On Friday, students and locals at Wampar in Morobe's Huon Gulf had the opportunity to celebrate an event with Sir Michael Somare, who expressed that Morobeans played a vital role in the road towards independence.
