15 Hours In Chennai, Hidden Beaches & Historical Gems .

Hey Bankertrekker fam! 🌟

Just wrapped up an unforgettable 15-hour adventure in Chennai (formerly Madras) and I have to share every moment with you! From the moment I landed, my day was packed with amazing experiences that you must add to your travel bucket list.Starting from the airport, I hopped on the blue metro line and made my way to the incredible Trivituer Beach an unexplored gem!

Picture this: crystal-clear, clean waters, the high tide rolling in, and quiet vibes that made it feel like my own private paradise. Complete chill and pure joy. 🏖️

Afterwards, I took a scenic 25 km local bus ride through Chennai’s bustling cityscape and enjoyed every bit of the stunning views.

Next up, a fun ride in a tempo and visits to some of Chennai’s historical and cultural treasures the majestic Madras High Court, the iconic Madras University, elegant St. Mary’s College, historic George Fort, and the powerful Anna Memorial Museum, among so many others.As if that wasn’t enough, I spent over 2 hours soaking in the vibrant atmosphere and tides at the famous Marina Beach, followed by a peaceful stroll along Adarsh Nagar Beach.

I even discovered the beautiful Astalaxmi Temple, a serene spiritual spot, and Our Lady of Light Church" .

Then comes the incredible Kapaleeshwarar Temple a must-see architectural marvel where I indulged in authentic South Indian food served traditionally on a banana leaf at a local eatery nearby (a taste you can’t miss!).

Just 2 km from there, I visited another stunning church St. Thomas Cathedral Basilica, steeped in history and culture.

Chennai is truly an explorer’s dream, walking, hopping on buses, tempos, trains, and taxis, every moment reveals a new story, a new flavor. This city’s energy, rich culture, and incredible food scene made this trip one of my best India experiences yet.

I flew in from Hyderabad and headed back to Patna with IndiGo, which, by the way, I highly recommend smooth, reliable, and the best airline experience I’ve had so far!
