Ultra4 Samurai #4543 walk around

Here’s a quick walk around of my Ultra4 race Samurai. I didn’t say this in the video, my goal with this samurai as to see how far I could take a samurai while keeping it still a samurai. Yeah, Toyota axles are stronger but the whole idea was to build upon the samurais strengths. Light weight, nimble, maneuverable and just fun! Last year in my first ‘Hammers attempt I quickly found it a weak link. The t case was over worked with the 3.73 axle gears. This year with the hybrid axles with 5.13 gears and 4.89 t case gears I found the best combination. We didn’t finish ‘Hammers but we completed 109 miles with no mechanical issues. Next year we need to find more speed in the desert to give us more time in the rocks. The 10 hour time limit comes too fast. Thanks for watching
