Today we take a look at the Gerber Fast Draw Auto Assist knife. The plain edge blade is of an unknown material, it's not listed on Gerber's website, nor anywhere else I have looked. The good news, it's a deep carry, with a nicely designed pocket clip. The auto assist functions well, it's quiet, and fast, while still being low spring tension. It includes a separate lock for both when the blade is open, and when it's closed. The handle material and the lack of usable jimping are the only things I don't like about it. The handle is fiber reinforced plastic, that's slick, and with the lack of jimping, your thumb can easily slide into a poor location.
