Living Land - Episode 3: Careers in Agriculture

At the start of the new academic year many students have to make life-changing career decisions. In this episode we show viewers that a career in agriculture can provide young people with a rewarding and fulfilling future.

We showcased some of the agricultural schools and colleges that have a long and rich tradition of producing young men and women with the knowledge and the know-how to run farms and to perform a host of other jobs in the agricultural sector. Continuing on this theme, we shed more light on the diversity of the many careers in agriculture.

Agricultural scientists, for example, are taught to apply the power of science to come up with ideas on how to improve agricultural methods by researching farm crops and animals. Finally, we investigated the fascinating career path of the agricultural engineer.
