Is this the End for MOBILE HOME PARKS?

This year affordable housing is becoming harder and harder to find so now more than ever it's important to protect our affordable options. One of the best affordable options in my opinion is Mobile Home Parks but they're undergoing a change. Residents in parks across the United States are forming cooperatives and becoming Resident Owned Communities or ROCS. A resident owned community is similar to a traditional mobile home park but instead of being owned by a landlord the park is owned by the residents of the park. They all own their homes and an equal share of the land underneath the home. A park in Colorado made headlines this week as they transitioned to a resident owned community, at first I thought it was a great idea but then I noticed a few red flags that made me want to dig deeper. In this video I look at the benefits and potential pitfalls of Resident owned communities vs Mobile home parks and decide whether or not I think they're a good option for residents of traditional mobile home parks.
