Roman remains in Szombathely | Hungary #11
In this episode we take to the tracks to Szombathely in western Hungary. Szombathely has a long history and was known in Roman times as 'Savaria' and is the oldest recorded city in Hungary. It is also noteworthy that it is the birthplace of Saint Martin of Tours. I seek out some relics of old Savaria at the reconstructed Iseum and the Savaria Museum
