Randy Santiago, Ms. Pilita Corrales & Arnel Pineda Featured in David Foster & Friends Manila Concert

During the David Foster & Friends Manila Concert last Oct. 23, 2010, David - true to his word, did come down the stage to listen to some of the audience and gave 30 seconds to those 'brave enough' to sing for/to him.

There were a couple of ladies who coincidentally were both named 'George' (one from the Patrons section, the other - at the lower box), a lady named "Maria" and 3 young ladies in their teens (who sang a Trio version of "Pyramid"!), all to the delight of David.

Among the crowd were celebrities: Randy Santiago, Ms. Pilita Corrales and Arnel Pineda - who gamely sang ditties to the delight of the crowd and David Foster himself.

From 'reliable sources', the DFF Concert somehow brought back the 'Glory Days' of Araneta Coliseum even for just an evening - as it has been a long time since the General Patronage and Upper Box sections were SRO (Standing Room Only), with additional seats added to the lower box & Patron sections to accommodate ticket demands at the box office that night.

And not to mention the hearty Standing Ovation the audience gave the performers, most specially to 'Our Very Own' CHARICE, and to the whole cast during the final Curtain Call. (Standing Ovations being a rare occurrence if at all, given the reserved demeanor of the 'Filipino Audience' in showing appreciation during concerts of this nature.)

Truly a Memorable Night it was at the Araneta Coliseum. One that won't easily be forgotten... and shall be cherished for a long time to come by those who were there that evening of the 23rd of October 2010.
