In 1997 the Detroit Pistons took a top 1 protected first round pick from the Memphis Grizzlies which resulted in them having the second overall pick in an absolutely stacked 2003 draft class. While it wouldn't be possible for them to select LeBron James, they had the opportunity to take Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade, or Chris Bosh. Any of who likely would have mad the 1 time champion Pistons into multiple time champions during the mid 2000s. In this video we explore what might have happened if the Pistons took Carmelo Anthony instead of noted draft bust Darko Milicic.
