Künstlerportrait zu Elimo Njau

Der Künstler Michael Armitage verbindet europäische und ostafrikanische Maltraditionen. Ostafrikanische Künstlerinnen und Künstler wie Meek Gichugu, Sane Wadu, Jak Katarikawe, Asaph Ng'ethe Macua, Elimo Njau oder Theresa Musoke, die Armitage wesentlich geprägt haben, werden mit insgesamt ca. 80 Werken in einem Raum der Ausstellung "Michael Armitage. Paradise Edict" im Haus der Kunst vorgestellt.
Darüber hinaus haben das Nairobi Contemporary Art Institute (NCAI) und das Haus der Kunst drei Videoportraits produziert - Zu Asaph Ng'ethe Macua, Elimo Njau und Sane Wadu.

The artist Michael Armitage combines East African and European motifs and painting traditions. East african artists as Meek Gichugu, Sane Wadu, Jak Katarikawe, Asaph Ng'ethe Macua, Elimo Njau or Theresa Musoke, who were a great inspiration for Armitage, are presented with 80 works in one room of the exhibition "Michael Armitage. Paradise Edict".
Additionally, Nairobi Contemporary Art Institute (NCAI) and Haus der Kunst commissioned three video portraits - On Asaph Ng'ethe Macua, Elimo Njau and Sane Wadu.
