HOW OpenFOAM CFD FVM code solves solid Mechanics??

Finite Volume Method (FVM) is mainly used for CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics), but are also used effectively in Metal Forming commercial software (Simufact).
In the latest years, several open source projects have been advanced with this method, using OpenFoam.
Solids4Foam and Explicit Solid Dynamics are two interesting projects.

Solids4Foam has been around since 2021, is an interesting project involving several implicit& explicit solvers,
and runing mainly from the OpenFoam.com branch

On the other hand, explicitSolidDynamics is related to the Jibriam Haider pHd thesis, and it offers vertex centered &
cell centered, being an explicit solver.
