#133 Travel By Art, Ep. 8: Ships in Bar Harbor, Maine, USA (Watercolor Seascape Tutorial)

Michael Solovyev. Ships in Bar Harbor, Maine, USA. From the photo made by Sheryl Rissel. @DANIEL SMITH watercolor paints on Saunders Waterford Rough paper, 22x15 inches.

Today we are coming back to the USA! This time, we are on the East Coast, in Bar Harbor, Maine. It is the first place in this series where I have been personally, during a watercolor festival a few years ago. Sheryl Rissel took this photo on her trip to Maritime provinces in the summer of 2010. Bar Harbor was the stop for the lobster dinner in a long 6-week RV trip she made alongside multiple people and five dogs. She found Bar Harbor eerie and quiet.

We are starting a new project, Travel by Art, where you can submit your photographs for a chance for them to become watercolors! For more information about the project and the rules, visit https://watercoloronline.com/travel-by-art
