The Harry Potter movies have been one of the most memorable phenomena of our generation with millions of kids, teens, and adults enjoying the books or watching the on-screen magic with drawn breath.
Even though many of the young actors started their acting careers with the Harry Potter film series, they grew up in front of the entire world as the sequels came out, and as things reached their end, they had to raise their wings and find new heights to conquer. Many of them did become famous actors, and some found themselves on entirely different paths. Emma Watson (Hermione Granger), for example, was in the Bling Ring and played Belle in live action version of Beauty and the Beast, Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) started in many films such as Horns, Woman in Black, Swiss Army Man. And Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) recently was in Servant TV series.

Beginning in 2002, Grint began to work outside of the Harry Potter franchise, playing a co-leading role in Thunderpants. He has had starring roles in Driving Lessons, a dramedy released in 2006, and Cherrybomb, a drama film of limited release in 2010. Grint co-starred with Bill Nighy and Emily Blunt in Wild Target, a comedy. His first film project following the end of the Harry Potter series was the 2012 anti-war film, Into the White, in which he had a supporting role. In 2013, Grint's film CBGB was released and he was cast in CBS's new show Super Clyde. He starred in and was executive producer of the television series Snatch, based on the film of the same name. He currently stars as Julian Pearce on the Apple TV+ series Servant.

Following the success of the Harry Potter films, Radcliffe portrayed lawyer Arthur Kipps in the horror film The Woman in Black (2012); the poet Allen Ginsberg in the film Kill Your Darlings (2013); Victor Frankenstein's assistant, Igor, in the science fiction fantasy Victor Frankenstein (2015); Manny, a sentient corpse in the comedy-drama Swiss Army Man (2016); technological prodigy Walter Mabry in the heist thriller film Now You See Me 2 (2016); and FBI agent Nate Foster in the critically acclaimed thriller Imperium (2016). Radcliffe began to branch out to stage acting in 2007, starring in the London and New York productions of Equus and in the 2011 Broadway revival of the musical How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Since 2018, Radcliffe has starred in the TBS anthology television series Miracle Workers.

After the last Harry Potter film, Emma Watson took on a supporting role in My Week with Marilyn (2011), before starring in The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012) opposite Logan Lerman and The Bling Ring (2013) alongside an ensemble cast, both to critical acclaim. In 2014, Watson played the titular character's adopted daughter in biblical epic Noah and was honoured by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, winning British Artist of the Year. She starred as Belle in the 2017 musical romantic fantasy Beauty and the Beast, which became one of the highest-grossing films of all time, and Meg March in the coming-of-age drama Little Women (2019), which was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture. Other notable film roles include This Is the End (2013), Regression, Colonia (both 2015), and The Circle (2017).
