Denmark's Newest Infantry Unit: The Bornholm Regiment

In April 2025, Denmark’s defence ministry announced that it would be creating a new infantry battalion to ensure a quote-unquote "continuous military presence" on the strategic island of Bornholm in the Baltic Sea. The new unit, going by the name “Bornholm regiment” was officially established on June 12th, 2025.
