Conan O'Brien's Promos Preceding His Debut, August 30-September 10, 1993

After Dave's final Late Night on June 25, 1993, NBC aired repeats of his show throughout the summer until Conan debuted his own Late Night on September 13. Conan's new show had been scheduled to begin on August 23, but it was subsequently delayed for a few more weeks.

For the two weeks preceding Conan's newly-scheduled September 13 premiere, NBC aired the first ten shows of Dave's Late Night from the first 2 1/2 weeks of February 1982. They would air on NBC immediately after Dave's first two weeks of Late Shows on CBS.

Within these first ten Late Night repeats, NBC began to air promos of Conan's upcoming show during the ad breaks between Acts 1 and 2. There were a total of five promos, all but one re-airing several times during that period.

Here are the promos and the days they aired:

1. Amish call. August 30, September 2, September 9.
2. Chain letter. September 1, September 3.
3. Cher, Tom Hanks. August 31.
4. Ted Danson. September 6, September7.
5. Ticking sound. September 8, September 10.
