Huge cash game pot with some interesting behaviors #poker #pokerstrategy

They said this was biggest pot on a cash stream at time

Disclaimer that these things can vary (ie, Persson could be balanced for all I know), but these would be my general reads for general player pool.

Snap call of significant bets will make strongest hands unlikely. If Persson had trips 3s or a full house he’s likely gonna at least consider raising Patrik’s 3-bet on flop. People hate missing value so slow playing can take a few seconds thought.

In general any verbal statement made by someone waiting to act in big spots will weaken hand strength. General reasons: players with strong hands don’t want to “get in the way of a bet”, while players with weak/medium-strength hands have incentive to present obstacles. Obv people do switch this up and get weird but again we’re talking general meaning.

Quick shove: very polarizing, and can easily go either way. But skews a bit towards bluffs IMO (esp if you know player is capable of big bluffs; some players just aren’t capable). Medium strength made hands will want to think a little, so quick shove leaves mostly bluffs and very strong hands. In this case, if Eric had a full house I think he’d often want to communicate some hesitation/uncertainty in form of some thought.
