"In addition to being one of the best New Orleans rappers today, Dee-1 has started to flex his acting skills on primetime TV. Just last night, he appeared in a supporting role for the Emmy-nominated HBO drama series Treme.
In last night's episode, Dee plays the role of "Percy Mackie," a street dude who supposedly has turned his life around but is still hiding his brother from the police. When a NOPD detective comes snooping around, "Percy" has a tense dialogue with the cop... right before bloodying his face up with his fists and fleeing the scene.
Treme is about the various people in post-Katrina New Orleans trying to rebuild their lives and culture in the aftermath of the hurricane."
