Policy Based Routing (PBR) Explained | Cisco Routing Lab | CCNP Networking Tutorial

In this lab, we demonstrate how Policy Based Routing (PBR) can be used to control traffic flow in a network.

Normally, routers forward packets based on the routing table. However, with Policy Based Routing, network administrators can override the routing table and define custom routing policies.

In this tutorial you will learn:

✔ What Policy Based Routing (PBR) is
✔ Why PBR is used in enterprise networks
✔ How to capture traffic using ACL
✔ How to configure Route-Maps
✔ How to apply PBR on router interfaces
✔ How to verify traffic path using traceroute
✔ Real-world use cases of Policy Based Routing

This lab is useful for students preparing for:

• CCNA
• CCNP
• Network Engineering
• Advanced Routing Technologies

🔹 Technologies Used

Cisco Routers
OSPF Routing Protocol
Access Control Lists (ACL)
Route Maps
Policy Based Routing

If you are learning network engineering, routing technologies, or CCNP labs, this video will help you understand how traffic engineering works in real networks.
