The coalition government led by N. Chandrababu Naidu has been severely criticized by the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG). At least now, this government should feel some shame and try to reduce debts in this financial year and focus on development.

If we look at the CAG report for the 2025–26 financial year, the estimated revenue receipts were around ₹2.27 lakh crore, but the actual revenue generated was far lower. That means a huge shortfall of nearly ₹80,000 crore in expected revenue.

Instead of showing fake progress through advertisements and publicity stunts, the government should focus on real governance. They keep increasing loans and interest burdens while claiming development. At the end of the day, people are suffering because of rising debt and financial mismanagement.

CAG నివేదిక ప్రకారం జనవరి 2026 నాటికే రూ.90,767 కోట్ల అప్పు పూర్తైంది. రాష్ట్ర మొత్తం అప్పు రూ.6.35 లక్షల కోట్లకు చేరింది. ఆదాయం తగ్గడం, రెవెన్యూ లోటు పెరగడం, RBI ఓవర్‌డ్రాఫ్ట్‌లపై ఆధారపడటం, అభివృద్ధి కంటే రెవెన్యూ ఖర్చులకు అప్పులు వినియోగించడం పై CAG ఆందోళన వ్యక్తం చేసింది.
