Final Voyage of Canada's last Great Lakes steamship ALGOMA MONTREALAIS, at Lock 3 Welland Canal 2013

The last Canadian Great Lakes steamship, the SS ALGOMA MONTREALAIS, made her last-ever passage down the Welland Canal on Dec. 27, 2014.
My video shows her downbound, approaching Lock 3 from below the Glendale Bridge, then entering and being lowered in Lock 3. By nightfall, she exits Lock 3 and passes the upbound HON .PAUL J. MARTIN, and finally heads into the darkness beyond the Homer Bridge.
Although I didn't realize it at the time, this turned out to be the last time that this venerable steamer would ever pass through Niagara: she traveled on to Montreal for her winter layup, but by the summer of 2015 it was announced that she had been sold and was towed to Turkey for scrapping.
This video documents her final trip along the Welland Canal.
