PCT 2020 | Post hike gear list and review

I made it 210 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail before having to come home due to COVID-19 changing many plans and the situation making it extremely risky for hikers and those living in the towns along the way.

I still carried a backpack, which still carried my gear and I actually ended up switching out my pack for a larger one for more options should I need more food in the event of not being able to resupply. So I thought I'd still put together a PCT 2020 post-hike gear list and review which will hopefully give you an idea as to exactly what I intended to carry on the trip, what worked well and what didn't.

A thru-hike of the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail is 2,650 miles long and takes anywhere between 2.5 and 6 months to complete self-supported. So, having the right gear on a thru-hike of the PCT is important and getting to the perfect pack takes months of testing, eliminating and purchasing different items of gear to add or remove to your kit list.
