Must-Have Spring & Fall Wardrobe Essentials 2023

Men's Fall Clothes Essentials: Barbour, Red Wing Boots, Rogue Territory, Iron Heart, Blundstone.

In this video, I will talk about fall wardrobe essentials for men. Some things that I love to wear throughout the season.

1. Waxed Jackets
I prefer waxed Jackets for fall: I have two of my favorite ones: Barbour Beaufort and Rogue Territory Supply Jacket. Barbour Beaufort is a great and versatile jacket for fall.
Rogue Territory Supply Jacket is a short casual work jacket. It is made of waxed canvas in the US.
If you watched the new Bond movie No Time to Die or a recent movie with Ryan Reynolds “The Adam Project” you would recognize this jacket. Both lead actors, Daniel Craig and Ryan Reynolds are wearing this jacket in these movies. In fact, it seems that Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds is a big fan of this jacket.

2. Boots for Fall.
Blundstone Chelsea boots are the ones I wear most of the time. They are incredibly comfortable, light, and easy to wear. I actually have two of them. One is the dress model and the other is original. I have had them for about 3 or 4 years already and these boots are still in great shape.
Red Wing Beckman is another pair of workboots like to wear in the fall time. They are not as comfortable as Blundstones for sure but in terms of workwear aesthetics, they are much better.

Another, more fashionable option if you are not into workboots like Blundstone or Red Wing, would be any suede chukka boots or variation. One of my favorite suede boots for fall is Astorflex Dukefle.

3. Flannel/Brushed Cotton Shirts
Autumn is the best season to unpack your carefully stored flannel shirts.
There are many brands and variations to choose from: Uniqlo makes pretty good and affordable shirts as well as the Canadian Menswear company Spier & Mackay. If you want to stretch your budget for something fancier, Barba Napoli would be a very good choice.

4. Japanese Denim.
I am a big fan of raw Japanese denim. I have collected several pairs over the years. For fall time I usually wear mid-heavy jeans 14-15 oz. I have two of my favorite pairs of jeans. One is Iron Hearn 888 14 ounce and Rogue Territory Standard Issue in 15 ounces. Rogue Territory is an American company but they use their proprietary denim from Japanese Mills.

5. Flat Caps: Hanna Hats, Mucros.
When the weather is getting colder you need a hat to keep your head warm. The most obvious choice would be any baseball cap. But for fall I prefer tweed flat caps.

6. Corduroy Pants.
Another piece of clothing that gives me a perfect cozy autumn feeling is cord pants. Corduroy saw a rise in popularity in the recent few years and corduroy pants are perfect for fall.
