Lincoln Gets Baptized - Its Great to be 8

Lincoln's Baptism had been on the books for months. We actually had a hard time getting it scheduled and needed special approval to have it on this particular day. Little did we know everything in our lives would change just days before Lincolns Baptism. I did not know if I would be able to put on my strong Mom face and make it a special day for Lincoln. I wanted to cancel it, but I knew that wouldn't have been fair for Lincoln. As I sat there in tears I thought to myself "This is hard, but the timing is actually perfect. I get to leave everything for a few hours and focus on the gift that Jesus Christ has given us. The gift of forgiveness, and the gift to make up where we lack"
