Sacrifices, The Temple, and Priesthood — God's Story — Sermon 12

"Sacrifices? Temples? Priests? Dude, that sounds so old-fashioned!"

For 21st-century people, symbols of ritualistic worship such as the temple, priests, and ritual sacrifices seem to belong to primitive beliefs in mythical deities, and often we find them irrelevant to modern life.

Nevertheless, if we look carefully, modern society has not really changed its quest. We too have our modern-day "temples of worship", "worshippers" and sacrifices to our modern-day "gods".

While the signs have changed, the search for identity, beginning and meaning is still the same. Can our mode of worship tell us something about the object of our worship, and if it does, would that make our worship meaningful, or acceptable? Would it matter at all, really?
