Ruth Jones' Welsh Language Journey

Actress Ruth Jones goes on a journey to learn the Welsh language with her mentor, her good friend and fellow actress Gillian Elisa.

The journey begins in Lampeter in West Wales before proceeding to the Dolau Cothi Gold Mines where Ruth is put through her paces greeting guests. The pair then travel to a local mart where Ruth helps the auctioneer with the stock.

Ruth's next task is to make all the announcements on a local train service from Merthyr Tydfil to Pontypridd in Welsh before her biggest challenge, a cameo appearance in Cwm Deri on S4C and BBC Cymru Wales soap Pobol Y Cwm filmed at Cardiff Bay.

Ruth's language journey ends at Rest Bay, Porthcawl.
