Glendale PD Revolutionizes Policing with Drone Waiver

Glendale PD is taking drone policing to a new level that will get officers on a scene a lot faster. Earlier this month, the FAA granted Glendale Police a waiver that allows them to launch their drones without a visual observer, with just a pilot flying the drone from inside their real-time crime center. What we found, even just from having our crime center operational, is being able to get immediately there faster than a traditional response when emergency calls are incoming can make all the difference in the world at locating suspects or otherwise get an idea of what's truly happening to get the correct resources there.
