Brian's Story: Using Game-changing Tech After Strokes and Locked-in Syndrome
Brian, a Nevada resident, experienced two strokes — the second of which led to locked-in syndrome. At first, he could only roll his eyes. Brian has spent months in inpatient and, now, DayRehab therapy. To complement this intensive work, he’s made huge mobility strides by participating in a unique technology program in which our research team incorporates an exoskeleton and other technologies to complement his treatment plan multiple times a week — an opportunity he and Missy, his wife and best friend, credit as a “game-changer.” Learn more about how we use robotics and other assistive technology to aid patients in their recoveries: https://www.sralab.org/articles/patient-story/stroke-recovery/brians-journey-advanced-technology-leads-explosive-gains-after-locked-syndrome
