Getting sideways with the Onefinity CNC
In this video we get sideways with the ONEfinity CNC machine.
*Disclaimer* Visit OneFinity CNC.com and find the specs for the machine you ordered before making a platform based off the measurements in the video.
We wanted to show off the convenience and stability of the Onefinity screwdrive CNC . I should note that as a beta tester I'm encouraged to not only review but test the absolute limits of the machine. So I had to think of away to stress the stepper motors and test the repetitive precision of the machine. How did we do it? By mounting it sideways and then having it cut a 3D relief cut that required multiple bit changes. In conclusion the only thing I didn't do to nearly break the machine was drop it from 5ft above the ground, but I came close.
The Onefinity is the ultimate hobbyist CNC especially for those with small shops or would like to have a fold away option. I wouldn't be surprised if in the future Onefinity offered a foldable base as an add-on feature, and personally I think they should name it the "Skinny" after yours truly. Keep watching to the end to get my insight of this particular mounting option.
